Spiritual growth through focused reflection
Virtue of the Week: CONFORMITY TO CHRIST
Romans 8:29
To be conformed to Christ is to let the Gospel shape our thoughts, desires, and actions until our lives mirror his. This week we walk with St. Francis, who so perfectly imitated his Lord that he bore the wounds of Christ on his own body, and we ask: how is the Gospel taking shape in me?
Virtue of the Week: FAITH & PRAYER
Mark 11:24
Faith and prayer are the two wings of the soul. Faith is trusting that God is present and good, even when we cannot see; prayer is the conversation that keeps that trust alive. This week we explore what it means to live by faith and to pray without ceasing, following Christ and his servant St. Francis, whose whole life was a prayer.
Virtue of the Week: SERVICE
Mark 10:45
To serve is to love in action. This week we explore what it means to do Christian service: washing the feet of others, lowering ourselves to lift up our neighbors, and imitating Christ the Servant. St. Francis of Assisi modeled this when he abandoned his wealth to serve lepers and the poorest among him, teaching that true greatness is found in humble, joyful service.
Virtue of the Week: PEACE
John 14:27
Peace is the strength to remain grounded in what is good and to bring reconciliation where there is conflict. Peace doesn't mean avoiding every argument. Sometimes peace requires having a difficult conversation, forgiving someone, admitting you were wrong, standing up for someone, or refusing to return anger with anger. This week's big question: Do I bring peace into a room—or add to the chaos? This week's challenge: Before you speak, post, text, comment, or react, ask: "Will what I'm about to do bring peace—or add to the chaos?"
What is Virtue?
Matthew 7:20
Virtue is more than simply 'being good.' A virtue is a good habit that helps us become the person God created us to be. Every time you choose honesty, courage, patience, kindness, self-control, or faith, that choice does something to you. Do it enough, and it begins to become part of who you are.
